Minnekhada As Muse Photography Project - 2026

Natural Narratives: Weaving Together Image and Word to Tell Nature’s Stories

Welcome to the 2026 edition of Minnekhada As Muse. This year, we endeavour to expand on last year’s inaugural photography Muse project which was very successful. This year our goal is to deepen, expand and enhance people’s connection, appreciation and knowledge to/of nature directly and indirectly, particularly at Minnekhada – through using photography as the creative vehicle, in combination with social media to tell a story.

When people slow down, immerse, and keenly observe nature from different angles then it invites a new level of relationship, connection, curiosity, awe and respect towards nature.  Deepened connection is foundational to people placing higher value, meaning and understanding for appreciating, and more importantly, protecting nature. When people develop a keen appreciation and love for nature, they become more passionate about care and stewardship through their daily, individual relationships and actions.

This is not a technical camera or photography course – instead, it is an invitation to connect with others, connect with nature, while also being provided some photography resources, inspiration from eco-minded groups and websites, encouragement, tips on photography in group sharing, and special guest or speakers’ input.
